INSTALL NESSUS IN BACKTRACK

1. Download nessus with typing in console

#apt-get install nessus

then display message like below

2. After completion of the installation process, follow the above message first add the user to Nessus with the following command:

# /opt/nessus/sbin/nessus-adduser

then you will see like below

3. Registration, visit links that have been given. Then we will be asked email address  to send a kind activation code.

4. After registering, you will receive an activation code to be able to update the Nessus plugins and running the service.

5. Perform the following command:

# / opt /nessus/bin/ nessus-fetch --register xxxx-xxxx-xxx-xxxx-xxxx (Adjust to the activation code provided)

6. After updating the plugin, then we can run the Nessus service with the following command :


# /etc/init.d/nessusd start








7. open browser then typing localhost:8834

login

and you will see

8. Finish
